A note From merak Blends

Nourishing your body with natural products should not be complicated. The goal behind Merak Blends is to rebuild our connection with nature and to provide high quality natural products, with ingredients that are affordable. The journey of this company began when there was a realization of how many people were lacking connection to natural products. How did we as a society lose all of the ability and knowledge to create natural products from ingredients that are provided by Mother Earth? How have we gotten away with allowing big corporations to sell us on what they think our bodies need?  Almost at every “natural” store such as Sprouts, Trader Joes, and Whole Foods, you can find their product sections full of ingredients that are unnecessary, toxic to our bodies, and very expensive. Why should we be paying more money for something that has less and simpler ingredients? It is almost completely impossible for the average person to fully avoid chemicals in our day-to-day lives, but a good place to start is with what we put in and on our bodies. 

Your human vessel is a temple that should be honored and cared for. Our bodies deserve the highest quality treatment and nourishment to best assist in instilling the highest possible performance in regards to what we are cable of in life. Our bodies work most efficiently when they are given the most pure, raw, and honest ingredients. It is so crucial that we are constantly learning, growing, and open to changing habits in order to better evolve. It may seem overwhelming to fully avoid toxic ingredients, but the mission should only be to do our best. Swapping one product out a month, cooking dinners at home, finding more connection with nature, buying local. Toxic chemicals are found in almost anything made by big corporations to consume and give to our bodies. 

Many skincare products for men and women contain toxins such as parabens, aluminum, and phthalates. When these chemicals are absorbed into our skin and bloodstream, they destroy and alter the harmonic balance in our bodies. Phthalates in particular, belong to the group of endocrine disruptors which are responsible for disrupting hormones and harming the development and function of the reproductive system. The use of these ingredients not only affects hormones, but depletes our immune system, causes pH imbalances, weakens our bodily functions, and inadvertently makes it easier to invite other toxins to penetrate the skin. 

We have been indoctrinated to believe that these companies are here to serve the community and to protect our bodies. The truth is that there is no money in healthy people and there is no money in dead people. The money flows abundantly in the sick. Their goal is to create weak beings in order to further sell them on “treatment” for their infected bodies. The money comes from those that can become forever dependent on pharmaceuticals to keep their existence going. We have to be mindful of what we allow exposure to. No one is perfect, but we have to start somewhere. We have to rebuild, share, learn, connect, and support one another to replenish our natural state. To bring harmony back to a disrupted system. This is the goal of Merak Blends. We are just getting started. Thank you for being here. 

As for the name Merak Blends. Merak refers to the Serbian term and definition that states “a feeling of bliss and the sense of oneness with the universe that comes from the simplest of pleasures. The pursuit of small, daily pleasures that all add up to a great sense of happiness and fulfillment.” Creating Merak Blends products are such simplistic acts that allow me connection to a greater good. It is a contribution that brings me closer to fulfilling a purpose  greater than myself. A privilege that allows for a greater connection to Self, community, and Mother Earth. A simplistic act that leads to much greater rewards.
